A compilation of my clips from a shortened version of the "Syltraversen" route. Do not complain about the quality - most of the videos were shot hand-held with an iPhone camera ;)
Until I write some kind of a blog post about the experience, here is some short info if you are interested:
I good place to start the route is the Sylarna mountain station. I went further South where I ascended the South-Eastern slope of Tempelet by simply "zig-zagging" it over a snow field. It was not too steep and the snow was soft, so it did not require crampons - not sure if it is possible in other times of year. Afterwards, it is basically straight paths from peak to peak over the ridges.
CAUTION: Do not attempt the trail if you have zero climbing experience. A small climbing section just before the Storsylen peak is very exposed and might result in a fatal fall in the worst case. The rest of the route is generally OK but requires overall fitness and a steady foot.
You should plan the whole day for the traverse, however, I could afford starting pretty late (~11am) and returning past midnight, since the whole night was very bright.
For the music I used a song from a great post-rock band, God Is an Astronaut (the title track from the album Helio | Erebus). Please consider supporting your favorite artist by buying their music or donating directly.
