2022 Chess.com Rapid Chess Championship
The Chess.com Rapid Chess Championship 2022 week 6 is an online rapid event series. The top-100 players, the top 10 women, and the top 10 Juniors in the world will play alongside 10 wildcards participating.
The event began on 12th of February, will take place on Chess.com from March 19th to March 20th, continuing weekly until August 28th with Swiss and knockout events.
The Saturday tournament is a 9-round Rapid Swiss. The top eight players qualify for Sunday's knockout tournament with a 10+2 time control in the first game. If it is drawn, the players play a second game with 3+2 time control. If players are still tied, they play one game with 1+1 time control.
The weekly prize fund is $20.000, the overall prize fund is $650.000.
