For BASF, climate protection is a key task and an essential part of our strategy. We are striving worldwide to achieve net zero CO2 emissions by 2050. Already by 2030, we want to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions worldwide by 25 percent compared with 2018. To do so, we will reduce our emissions even further with our Carbon Management. We also want to improve CO2 transparency in the value chain. That’s why we have developed a digital solution to calculate carbon footprints (PCFs) of our 45,000 sales products worldwide. The PCFs cover the cradle-to-gate phase and enable our customers to assess the environmental impact of their purchased materials and of the products they make from them.
