In Nov 2019 11,000 scientists published an open letter declaring clearly and unequivocally that planet Earth is facing a climate emergency. As geography teachers we must heed this message and change the “what” and “how” we teach. This session will summarise the science of climate breakdown and explore alternative ideas for teaching climate change so it makes a difference. A variety of free tools and resources will also be shared with attendees.
