In an effort to make women more epic and awesome to inspire female humans or something Netflix made a live action adaptation of Avatar the Last Airbender (a show with amazing female characters in katara, toph, azula etc) and managed to turn this wonderfully complex characters into the awful captain marvel style strong woman don't need no man hear me roar archetype and its a tragedy... thanks @master_samwise for covering this atrocity in depth...
