In Singapore, drinking "liang teh" is such a common thing. In the past, whenever we had eaten too much "heaty" food or felt unwell, my mother will always blew cooling tea for us! It is like the thing to do other than seeing a doctor.

These days, major Chinese medical halls also sell ready-brewed herbal tea. However, nothing beats home-brewed ones! They are easy to prepare and the whole family get to enjoy it!

Monkfruit (Luo Han Guo) is a good medicine for treating wind-heat, cold, cough and sore throat. There are 2 types of monkfruits. The common black one and golden one. You may choose your preferred one to use here. I personally like that golden one more because the tea will end up in a lighter colour.

Chrysanthemum helps to reduce inflammation, serve as a good source of vitamins A and C, and lower blood pressure and cholesterol.

Overall, this tea nourishes the lungs, relieves cough, resolves phlegm and smooths "qi", cools down and relieves fever. You may brew this once a month and it is suitable for all ages!
