#SaveWomensTrade Women traders have resolved to use risky routes to cross the border due to fear of official routes and border closure. Use of informal/ porous routes exposes women traders to various risks including death.
Women Cross Border Traders (WCBTs) use the Malaba River to cross with their goods, to and from Kenya.
EASSI with support from Global Affairs Canada through TradeMark East Africa (TMEA) is empowering women traders to embrace the use of official routes. This is being done through a project entitled "Making Trade Work for Women"
