TABLE RESERVATIONS: The Phoenix Club does not reserve tables at Oktoberfest. Table space can be claimed on a first-come, first-serve basis. As in Bavaria, it is not uncommon to share tables with strangers on busier weekends, our Biergarten and Tent sport long tables and bench seats. All you have to do is ask if there is free space: “Ist dieser platz frei, bitte?” However, it is advisable to not sit down at a Stammtisch (table with a table cloth or sign) even if you find it to be completely empty, since this is a table designated for members of a group or society, available to their membership only or by invitation.
