This is my attempt at summing up the spirit of "The Shack" in under a minute. As sweet as God's interaction with the main character may seem, this is still nothing more than a perverse tale of how God passively let a girl be brutalized before making a great effort to help her father feel better about it afterward. It's Christian self-absorption at it's finest.
A couple things:
1) I know it's not standard convention to put quotes around the title of a book, but you can't very gracefully italicize or underline the text of a YouTube title.
2) The runtime of the video is 1:14, but I maintain that the narrative summing up the shack still falls in under a minute, so that counts. :)
