*** Lyrics ***– The Moses Song by Patti Rokus, 2021
Verse 1:
Let me tell you a true story about a child of God
Who was caught up to a mountain to see the face of God.
Whose power and might were oh so very bright.
His love and truth and tenderness wrapped up the child in light.
The Lord God Almighty said, “Thou art my son.
I have a work for thee.” Then showed him, everyone.
Verse 2:
When God's light was gone then Moses was stunned beyond belief.
He now knew God was his Father and his own identity.
But then Satan interrupted, saying, “Moses worship me!”
The child of God knew better and would not be deceived!
“In the name of Jesus Christ, I command you to be gone”
He called out to his Father to receive the strength of God.
Verse 3:
The Devil ran away, and God smiled on his son.
“I will show you my creations, and my love for everyone.”
Moses had so many questions about the point of life:
“What’s God’s purpose of creation, and why am I alive?”
God replied, “I’ve done all of this for you and all mankind,
to be blessed with immortality and eternal life.
