Asia is home to the most densely populated places in the world and has a diverse economy. The diversity of the economy has caused countries to experience economic growth and recession at different times through out history. This is illustrated by the negative growth in China's population in the 60s (Cultural revolution famine) and the subsequent boom in 80s, As well Japans steady tapering off approaching the 2010s.
