Know the signs of heatstroke in your dog 🥵
* Rapid panting
* Increased heart rate
* Bright red tongue
* Thick, sticky saliva
* Weakness/dizziness
* Stumbling
* Vomiting/diarrhea
Leave your dog at home on hot days. If you can't hold the back of your hand on the walking surface for longer than five seconds, it's too hot 🔥
Pack plenty of water for hydration and cooling 💦
Wet your dog with cool water or allow to wade on a leash 🐾
If you notice your dog has heatstroke, take action 🐶
* Call for help
* Seek shade immediately
* Wet dog with cool water
* Wet footpads, pits, ears, and stomach
* Fan air around dog
* See a veterinarian
