Fertility expert Dr. Randy Morris discusses treatments for endometriosis to get pregnant fast and those to avoid if ttc
#Endometriosis is a horrible problem that can affect women all during their reproductive lives. Endometriosis causes two main type of problems: pain and infertility. The approach to treating endometriosis if you are trying to get pregnant fast is much different than if you are just trying to control pain. Don’t make these common mistakes and you can get pregnant fast.
Endometriosis occurs when the tissue which normally grows inside the uterine cavity instead grows outside of the uterus in the abdomen. Every month, when a woman has her period, the endometriosis tissue grows and bleeds causing inflammation.
If you are having pain from endometriosis, a common and effective treatment is to suppress your hormones. Since endometriosis needs hormones to grow, suppressing your hormones will stop the endometriosis from growing. It is a very effective way to control pain, however, these treatments will also prevent you from ovulating and will actually delay your ability to get pregnant.
Let me be very clear about this tip. If you have endometriosis and are trying to get get pregnant fast, do not use treatment like birth control pills or Lupron which will suppress ovulation.
The two best methods for getting pregnant fast with endometriosis are surgery and IVF
Surgery for endometriosis can be performed through a telescope instead of making a big incision. This is called laparoscopy. Through the laparoscope, the doctor can see the endometriosis and use various techniques to vaporize it. A large percentage of women will get pregnant within 6 months of surgery. However, the more endometriosis you had, the lower the chance for pregnancy, even with surgery

IVF is a really good method for getting pregnant fast with endometriosis and it does not require surgery. With IVF, the eggs are removed from the ovaries, fertilized outside the body, and the embryos are grown outside of the body. The embryos are then frozen. Eventually, an embryo can be thawed and placed into the uterus. Using IVF, most of the factors that interfere with pregnancy are bypassed and so the chance for getting pregnant fast is very high.
