1. M142 HIMARS.

The M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System is a light multiple rocket launcher, developed in the late 1990s for the United States Army, and mounted on a standard United States Army M1140 truck frame.

The M142 carries one pod with either six GMLRS rockets, or one ATACMS missile on the United States Army's new Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles five-ton truck, and can launch the entire Multiple Launch Rocket System Family of Munitions. M142 ammunition pods are interchangeable with the M270 MLRS. However, it is able to carry only one pod rather than the standard two for the M270 and its variants.

The launcher can be transported by Lockheed C-130 Hercules aircraft. The chassis was initially produced by BAE Systems Mobility, and Protection Systems. formerly Armor Holdings Aerospace and Defense Group Tactical Vehicle Systems Division.

2. M270 MLRS.

The M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System is an American armored, self-propelled, and multiple rocket launcher. The M270 MLRS is a highly mobile automatic system that fires surface-to-surface rockets, from the M270 family of launcher weapons platforms. The MLRS Family of Munitions can be fired in less than one minute by the three-man crew.

The MLRS launcher unit comprises an M270 launcher loaded with 12 rockets, packaged in two six-rocket pods. The launcher, which is mounted on a stretched Bradley chassis, is a highly automated self-loading and self-aiming system.

3. TOS-1A

The TOS-1A is an improved version of the original TOS-1 heavy flamethrower system. It was adopted by the Russian Army in 2001. The TOS-1A heavy flamethrower system is intended for direct fire support of advancing infantry units and main battle tanks and moves in their combat orders. It is extremely effective against entrenched personnel. The TOS-1A is used to clear out buildings, field fortifications and bunkers. It is also effective against light armored vehicles.

The main element of the TOS-1A system is the BM-1 launcher vehicle. Comparing with the original TOS-1 a number of launching tubes was reduced from 30 to 24, arranged in three rows of eight tubes each.

4. Pinaka MLRS

Pinaka is a multiple rocket launcher produced in India and developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation for the Indian Army. The system has a maximum range of 40 km for Mark-I and 60 km for Mark-I enhanced version, and can fire a salvo of 12 HE rockets in 44 seconds. The system is mounted on a Tatra truck for mobility.

It was announced that a 7.2 m long rocket with a maximum range of 100-120 km in under development. It is capable of carrying 250 kg payload. These rockets might be fitted with guidance systems for better accuracy.

The Pinaka is reloaded by escorting reloading vehicle, which carried 4 pods with a total of 24 rockets. Reloading takes 15 minutes however it might be cut to 4 minutes after redesign of the loading platform.

5. SR-5 Multiple Launch Rocket System

The SR5 is a Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) designed and manufactured in China by the Company NORINCO. It is a universal launching platform adopting such technologies as canister launching, automatic loading and common-frame rocket launching.

Featuring intensive and accurate firepower, high level of automation, rapid reaction and excellent maneuverability, the weapon can realize common-frame launching of 122mm and 220mm guided rockets to achieve a highly efficient combination of surface suppression and precision strikes.

Furthermore the SR-5 can carry combination with various rocket pods. It can have one pod with 220 mm rockets and another with 122 mm rockets, making this artillery system more versatile. he SR-5 launcher is based on Taian heavy high mobility truck chassis with 6x6 configuration. Vehicle has a double cab and carries the crew of 5 men.
