How to make a Lemon Tart from scratch at home.

In this video I am going to show you guys a delicious & quick way to make an easy french style lemon tart. This is no bake lemon tart recipe and I'm going to show you guy how to make it from scratch at home.

Ingredients for a 8 inch tart ring

Shortbread Pastry

150g flour
50g sugar
100g butter

Lemon tart filling

3 eggs
3 lemons ( zest & juice)
150g sugar
30g double cream ( optional)
115g butter (cut in cubes)

How to make a Lemon Tart from scratch at home.

This is what I call a lemon tart, I'm going to show you how to make this lemon tart from scratch at home, it's super easy to make this is how to make it, first grease and flour a 8 inch tart ring and tap off the excess flour. For the pastry it is so easy, no need for resting just combine together the flour, sugar and butter using your finger tips until it looks like wet sand, tip out onto your bench and work it a bit until it comes together into a smooth ball of dough. Roll it out between to 2 sheets of cling film to 1.5mm-3mm thickness. Gently place the dough into the greased tart ring using the clingfilm to your advantage ease it into the corners, trim off any excess dough. Blind bake at 200C for 15-20 minutes until the edges turn golden brown, Remove the baking beans and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes then let cool completely.

For the filling, crack 3 egg, zest & juice 3 lemons, 150g sugar, 30g double cream( optional), cook it over a bain marie until it reaches 75C then strain. Whisk in 115g cube butter little by little until fully incorporated. Fill up the tart case and chill the lemon tart overnight. There you have it a delicious French Style lemon tart.
