GardePro A3 Digital Wildlife Trail Camera 20 Megapixel Trap with Infrared Night Vision PIR (with 3 sensors).
Review; This is the fifth time I have used this camera & I found it be very good so far. I have managed to capture some more good footage of the fox. He (or she) now seems to be a regular visitor to my garden.
I will be testing it in my back garden over the next few months & trying different positions & settings etc. I have set the pictures to 20MP from 4MP
I have also increased the length of the videos. The sound on the GardePro A3 is very good & clear unlike the very low sound levels on my Apeman H55 & Toguard H80 cameras.
When we are able to travel again I will be taking the GardePro A3 to my holiday home in France for long term testing. It will be interesting to see how it performs against my trail cameras there.
My other cameras all operate on 6 volts, either 4 x 1.5v AA batteries or 8 x 1.5v AA batteries (two banks of 4 batteries connected in parallel to make 6 volts). The GardePro A3 uses all 8 AA batteries in series for 12 volt operation. This means the camera can be powered up via an external 12 volt power source, a very useful feature if you have you want to run it off a 12 volt car battery (probably a good idea to fit an inline fuse of a suitable rating!). You can also use a SD card of up to 128GB (class 10). This camera has the potential of being left running unattended for years with the right power supply & SD card!
I did notice a problem with the external power socket. You will not be able to open or close the camera while it is plugged in!
Software version A3 V2.0.23 H/W 2.0.6S MCU V98
