In the Christian Bible's Numbers chapter 19, God told Moses and the Israelites to bring a "red heifer without fault or blemish" for a ritual to purify the community.

This sacrifice of a red heifer is necessary for building a third temple in Jerusalem. Some theologians believe this could bring back the Messiah and Judgement Day. The Bible instructs people to bring a red heifer without faults, never under a yoke, following the Lord's command to Moses and Aaron (Numbers 19:1–2, 10).
