Mapping the Underworld is an ambitious 10-year research programme largely funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
It aims to develop a multi-sensor device that can locate underground infrastructure (e.g. pipes, electricity cables) without the need for time-consuming excavations.
This video looks at activity around a recent EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account-funded project. These funds are available to businesses and academics looking to translate research into the non-academic world.
