Sonnets for Science is a scientific communications project in three parts:
1) Poets Bauke Steenhuisen and Jeroen Manders have written over 50 scientific sonnets from TU Delft (TUD) theses and dissertation abstracts. In Spring 2023, the duo conducted scientific sonnets workshops for students and gave a library performance;
2) The TU Delft Library invited book artist Anna Weilhartner, a TUD architecture alumnus, to have a small residency in which she hosted a bookmaking workshop and made an art book of the collected Engineering Sonnets;
3) The TU Delft Library made an interactive app of Sonnets for Science, where ChatGPT engineers sonnets from thesis abstracts to compare with the originals.
