The Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) Program and the conducted this training to aid grantees and subgrantees in managing their American Rescue Plan Sexual Assault Supplemental Funding. The FVPSA American Rescue Plan Sexual Assault Supplemental Funding was awarded on October 29, 2021, and this $198 million dollars is available to assist rape crisis centers, sexual assault programs, and transitioning to virtual services, digital services and meeting the emergency needs of sexual assault survivors. These funds were disseminated for states to issue subgrants to rape crisis centers and sexual assault programs. They can support training and technical assistance with sexual assault coalitions as well as tribal coalitions and support the implementation of culturally specific sexual assault programs and local communities. These funds were also allocated to tribes to help reach and meet the needs of American Indians and Alaska Natives that are surviving sexual assault, to support tribes and providing contracts with tribal coalitions for technical assistance or working with sexual violence technical assistance resource providers for technical assistance and partnering with Two-spirit or LGBTQ serving organizations to be able to meet the needs of sexual assault survivors. This pre-recorded training session provides an overview along with Q&A answers to frequently asked questions and additional resources to assist grantees.
