In this video we exam what radio communications are recommended for a Level 2 trip that is on the fringes of the grid. We look at cell phone boosters as well as GRMS mobile radios that range in wattage from 5 watts all the way up to 40 watts. These mobile radios are more powerful than their handheld brethren meaning better communication between vehicles over a longer distance. We also look at antenna options beyond the antenna included with the radio and what the advantages are of going with a better external GMRS antenna. In Part 3 we will look into satellite communication devices like the Garmin InReach as well as Amateur Radios (HAM).
