Jaya Bachchan once expressed that she would want Aishwarya Rai to take some ‘burden’ off her shoulders after coming in the Bachchan family as a daughter-in-law. In one of her old appearances on the chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’ along with her daughter Shweta Bachchan, the veteran actress was reportedly asked by Karan Johar ‘Now you’ll be sharing some of the issues with your daughter-in-law. There will be Ash, who will come and take some of the burdens off your shoulders?’ Jaya responded saying, ‘Hopefully. I am hoping that she will take a lot more than just “some”.’ KJo further asked ‘So you want to give her lots more?’, but Shweta wasn’t on board with this and said, ‘Don’t do that mom. It’s scary and intimidating.’ When Jaya reacted saying ‘What rubbish?’, Shweta explained, ‘Slowly ease her into it. It’s not that hard.’ Karan also called it ‘The Bachchan way of life’ as Jaya nodded along. Meanwhile, there were rumours of a feud in the Bachchan family after Shweta Bachchan did not acknowledge Aishwarya Rai in her social media post about the Paris Fashion Week where the former’s daughter Navya Naveli Nanda was also invited. However, Ash and Navya put an end to the rumours when they were seen together at Big B’s residence on his birthday recently.
