Dr. Rogers continues preaching through The Book of Romans in this sermon on Romans 9:1-13 entitled, "God's Sovereign Purpose of Election."
Thank God salvation is not based on ethnicity or merit! If it were, all of us would be going to hell. Rather, salvation is the result of God’s sovereign purpose of election.
The doctrine of election is such a critical and glorious truth, which reminds that ultimately God is in control of all things. It means that God’s love for us is a deliberate choice belonging to God alone and not dependent on our race or our good deeds. If God chose to save people based on their merit, no one would be saved, but God is majestically gracious to sinful man through the merit, love, and sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ.
