The mother of grown ass comedy is back as the Emmy-nominated THE MS. PAT SHOW returns for a brand-new, ‘did she just say that,’ ‘oh yes they went there’ season.

Based on Ms. Pat's incredible real-life journey, this critically acclaimed "grown-folks sitcom" tells the story of Pat, a teen mom and former convicted felon from inner city Atlanta turned suburban Indiana mom, and her loving family as they navigate life’s twists and turns. We’ve seen them adjust and heal, and now, it’s time to grow.

Season 3 finds Ms. Pat on a stand-up tour opening for one of her comedy heroes and nothing can stop her… Except maybe her kids, both Medicaid and Blue Cross, who will have to learn how to rely on themselves and each other. Her sister/assistant/manager Denise, who will have to learn how to take care of herself like she does others. Her husband Terry, who will have to learn that it’s okay to ask for help and support. And even Pat herself, as she learns how to juggle family and her newfound fame.

In the show’s signature style, this new season continues to address tough topics with an in-your-face humor that hits hard truths and funny bones with unfiltered love (and a little unfiltered language) and continues to prove why THE MS. Declared by The Washington Post as “unforgiving and darkly hilarious,” Patricia Williams (aka Ms. Pat) is a comedian, author, radio host, podcaster, and actress whose hit multi-cam series The Ms. Pat Show will premiere its second season on August 11, 2022. The series, produced by Lee Daniels and Brian Grazer, is streaming on BET+ and Paramount+ with an edited version airing on BET linear. The Ms. Pat Show, based on Pat’s real life story of an inner-city drug dealer turned suburban mom, shattered records for viewing and audience engagement on the BET+ platform. Decider raved “The Ms. Pat Show is bound to be one of the year’s notable new comedies” and Essence Magazine gushed “Ms. Pat is headed for the comedy stratosphere.” Pat’s hour standup special, Y’All Wanna Hear Something Crazy?, is also currently streaming on Netflix. The New York Times described the hour as “superb material” while Indiewire offered “There are a lot of comedy specials on Netflix these days, but Ms. Pat breaks through the noise.” In addition to her standup and TV projects, Pat currently serves as co-host of the long-running beloved morning radio show The Morning Culture with Big Tigger on V103.5 in Atlanta, GA. She also hosts her own popular podcast The Patdown.

JORDAN E. COOPER
Creator, Executive Producer and Director

Jordan E. Cooper is an Award-winning playwright, producer, director, performer, and currently the youngest Black American playwright in the history of Broadway, as well as the youngest Black showrunner in television history.

His Obie Award-winning play, AIN’T NO MO’ originally debuted to a sold out run at The Public Theater in 2019 and in December 2022 opened on Broadway to resounding acclaim, marking Jordan’s Broadway debut both off stage and on – starring as the hilarious and bossy flight attendant “Peaches.” Press called AIN’T NO MO’ “fearlessly provocative,” “jubilantly disruptive,” and the “Best New Play on Broadway This Year,” citing Jordan as “Broadway’s Groundbreaking New Voice.” Jordan was joined by such industry giants as Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Tyler Perry, Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade, Shonda Rhimes, Queen Latifah and more to support the #saveAINTNOMO campaign and extend the show’s run on Broadway.

Jordan co-created, executive produces and directs the Emmy-nominated “The Ms. Pat Show,” which is hailed by critics as "one of the most radical sitcoms of the modern era.” The hit multi-cam series returns to BET+ for its third season this February. Jordan was also featured on the final season of FX’s groundbreaking series “Pose” as “MC Tyrone” and has his own production company, Cookout Entertainment.

Jordan was raised in Texas and graduated from The New School in New York.
