Today, Christian reviews three new watches hitting the shop from the likes of Rolex and Audemars Piguet!
First up, we have the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak reference 25730ST, a steel Royal Oak with an impressive amount of complication going on. It's a 36mm watch that wears very well because of the shape and proportions. Complicating the watch is a dual time indicator, along with a power reserve and date function.
Now onto a Rolex Daytona 16518 from 1996, a Zenith powered watch that, though heavily modified, still has all of the Zenith El Primero DNA. Its dial is snow white, and that helps both tone the watch down and make it classic. It comes on a medium brown Alligator leather strap which helps make it a bit more refined.
From there, we have a Rolex Explorer II reference 16550, a second generation Polar Explorer II. It's hard to beat the classic proportions and design of the 40mm Oyster case, and this with its steel bezel is absolutely immaculate in terms of its overall aesthetic.
Finally, we have a Rolex Datejust reference 16013, a classic 36mm Rolex with a creamy Buckley dial. It's hard to beat the value offered here, the uniqueness of such a different kind of Rolex dial than you're likely to find on most such watches.
