Here's a guide on the best settings for the GoXLR when using the Rode PodMic.

Of course this is just a rough guide on how to set the device up to get good sound out of it and tips on eliminating background noise to get good results. You'll have to play around with this to get the best sound for your voice, your tone and your environment, but hopefully these tips and settings will help you get started.

Threshold -47 dB
Attenuation 100%
Attack 10ms
Release 200ms
Equaliser
Bass 0
Mid 0
Treble 0
Compressor (40)
Threshold -15db
Ratio 4:1
Attack 2ms
Release 100ms
Make-up gain 5db
De-Esser 45

The Rode PodMic is a surprisingly awesome dynamic broadcast microphone which has some excellent hidden features. It offers both XLR and USB connection options but also has a high-gain Revolution Preamp and APHEX digital signal processing technology packed inside which results in ultra low noise capture. The Rode PodMic USB is plug and play on a variety of devices and I used it here while hooked up to my phone to demo just how easy and impressive that is. Or you can download the various apps ( RØDE Connect, RØDE Central, RØDE Capture and UNIFY) and use it with those. Alternatively you can use and XLR cable and hook it up to something like the Rodcaster Pro 2 for superior audio options.
