A few weeks ago we had a blind comparison of several lavalier mics—just let you listen to them without revealing which was which until after you chose your favorite. I think that was helpful to many of us so now I’d like to try the same thing with a small handful of boom mics you might use to record indoor dialogue. This would include cardioid and hyper-cardioid condenser mics and possibly even a shotgun mic (though audio engineers say that shotguns are prone to issues in rooms with lots of echo). Lets listen to four and choose our favorite. Then next week we’ll come back and talk about each in more detail.
Come on over to [ Ссылка ] to see which mic is which.
And here's the follow-up episode where we reveal the winners: [ Ссылка ]
