As a child growing up with chronic disease, Dr. Chisolm knew she wanted to work in health care, but she didn’t want to necessarily be a provider. Instead, she found her passion in the field of public health and epidemiology, particularly research.

Dr. Chisolm is focused on how we make sure every child has an equitable opportunity for best health. Through the center, Dr. Chisolm and her team have been able to improve health equity by identifying where there are inequities and sharing them with the people who have a role in reducing them.

The Center for Child Health Equity and Outcomes Research is also training the next generation of researchers to take this to the next level.
