How to make Cajun Kabobs
Ingredients:
½ pound of peeled shrimp
2 pounds of steak (cubes)
1 lemon (cut into 8ths)
1 yellow squash (cut into ½ inch thick circles)
2 Bell Peppers (cut into quarters)
1 onion
Kabobs sticks
Rub & butter:
1 tbsp of blackened seasoning
1 tsp of Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp of creole seafood seasoning
1 tsp of paprika
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cayenne pepper
4 tbsp of Butter
How to make Cajun Shrimp and Steak Kabobs:
Prepare steak by cutting into 1 inch cubes. Peel and wash shrimp. Cut vegetables accordingly to description above.
Wash kabob sticks and begin to assemble kabob sticks. There is no method, layer how you would like leaving space at the bottom so you can pick sticks up.
Heat Oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit
In a small bowl melt butter for 22 seconds in microwave. Add blackened seasoning, Cajun seasoning, creole seafood seasoning, paprika, pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix ingredients and brush onto kabobs. Save some to brush on at the half way point.
Place onto a baking sheet and cook for 15-20 minutes. At the half way mark, turn kabobs over and brush on more rub.
Once finished remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Serve with rice or your favorite side and ENJOY!
