At the heart of the Zumwalt's offensive capabilities is the Advanced Gun System (AGS), comprising two 155mm guns. These are the largest guns fitted on a U.S. Navy surface warship since World War II. Each gun can fire Long Range Projectiles LRLAP, specifically designed for neutralizing land threats. With a range of 60 nautical miles, the LRLAP makes the Zumwalt class destroyer a potent threat to enemy installations and forces on land.
