Do you know that "99 countries have a youth policy"? A main mechanism for facilitating young people in public affairs is the implementation of a national youth policy. However, despite the existence of such programs in a number of countries, young people in those countries still face a lot of unresolved issues and challenges, such as poor education quality, unemployment, and the absence of support for sports and arts in youth communities. So, how can we ensure that the policy effectively meets needs and demands of young people? How are young people involved in articulating their needs and designing the policy?
Young activists from Liberia and Kyrgyzstan will share their experiences in participating in developing a national youth policy and monitoring the implementation of the policy in their respective countries. Drawing from their experiences, this Online Discussion will seek to identify key tips for young activists to consider in participating in designing or implementing the national youth policy.
