10.24.2019 | 1:59 AM | SAN BERNARDINO - A fire dubbed the "Old Water Fire" burned through 75 acres and prompted mandatory evacuations, early Thursday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a brush fire burning along the SR-18 Freeway near Waterman Canyon Road around 1:59 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a large fire burning in heavy-fuel with high-winds.
The flames were threatening homes on Arrowhead Road prompting mandatory evacuations and fierce firefight.
By noon the fire had charred 75 acres but was over 30% contained. Over 400 firefighters were on scene working to ensure full containment.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
