1. India's Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be presenting her 5th consecutive budget
2. She also holds the record for the longest budget speech. On February 1, 2020, the Finance Minister spoke for two hours and 42 minutes. She had to cut short her budget speech
3. At the other end of the spectrum, the shortest budget speech was that of Finance Minister Hirubhai Mulljibhai Patel. He presented the budget in 1977 and the speech was only 800 words long
4. In contrast, Dr Manmohan Singh's 1991 budget speech delivered the speech with the most words
5. The distinction of presenting the most Budgets goes to former Prime Minister Morarji Desai. He presented 10 budgets
followed by P Chidambaram with nine and former President Pranab Mukherjee who presented eight budgets
