Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines are effective against the B1617.2 Covid-19 strain found in India. A Public Health England (PHE) study found both the vaccines working well to fight the mutated virus strain. The UK agency said it will conduct more tests and study the virus strain to understand its nature. Earlier this month, the World Health Organization (WHO) dubbed the B1617.2 strain a “variant of global concern”
