Veterans Day is not a memorial of the fallen; rather, it is a day of recognition of those who fought valiantly in service for their countries, ideals, and value. Ammunition Hill does a remarkable job representing these values.
We established the Wall of Honor at Ammunition Hill to serve as a tribute to the heroism and courage of Jewish servicemen and women who fought in defense of the countries in which they lived.
Although Veterans Day is a national American holiday, there is an underlying aspect of the Jewish identity that connects each veteran of the faith. Many of the veterans may already have passed away, but our Wall of Honor does not serve as a memorial. Rather, it is an evolving example of the contribution of Jewish heroes, eternally remembered at of one of Israel's and Judaism's most important battles and heritage sites. It is a symbol of the shared struggle to be reunited with a reunified Jerusalem.
While some of the veterans honored at Ammunition Hill may have never made it to Jerusalem, their memories will live on and inspire future generations by working together for a common cause. To honor a current or former member of the armed services, please visit [ Ссылка ].
