The Mighty Kong was a joint film by Lana Films, and Warner Bros. Family Entertainment. Finally released in 1998, the film featured legendary song writers Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman better known as The Sherman Brothers. They were the writers behind Disney's The Jungle Book, It's A Small World, The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room, The Best Time Of Your Life (From The Carousel of Progress), One Little Spark (From "Journey Into Imagination"), the Mary Poppins Soundtrack, and many more. Their music from The Mighty Kong for the last 25-years has been missing... Something else that makes the soundtrack notable is that the film stars Jodi Benson, the original voice of Ariel in Disney's The Little Mermaid, and Thumbelina. I've searched for the promotional album released to reviewers for years. I have no idea how many copies were made, but regardless I never found any. But after 3.5 years of searching and running into lots of dead-ends and unanswered emails, I FINALLY received a surprise in email.
