If you’re in the market for a stucco, tile, or brick outdoor kitchen…
You’re going to have some questions about the cladding materials.
It’s going to form the finish of your outdoor kitchen, after all!
So the question is…
Which cladding material is best for your project? (Or none at all!)
In this video… You’ll understand the pros and cons of brick, stucco, tile, and stone cladding materials.
As with anything… There’s advantages and disadvantages to each option.
Let’s begin with stucco.
Stucco is an extremely popular cladding material in the Southwest US. The dry, arid climate works well for a stucco application.
But for the rest of the country?
Poor weather easily causes stucco to crack… Leading to a damaged outdoor kitchen. Yikes.
What about tile?
Tile outdoor kitchens are quite DIY friendly. There are a ton of color options available… And they’re relatively easy to apply.
Unfortunately… Tile is super fragile.
You’ll have to be prepared for frequent repairs and replacements in the future.
Finally… What about a stone or brick outdoor kitchen?
These can be a great option for your project.
The trouble is… These cladding materials are expensive! Especially if you choose natural stone.
If none of these options sound like a winner to you…
You may want to consider RTA!
With an RTA outdoor kitchen… You don’t have to mess with cladding materials at all.
