Economic Freedom measures the degree to which a country relies on individuals, families, entrepreneurs, business-owners, and workers to make economic decisions rather than politicians, bureaucrats and regulators. Poland’s economic freedom ranking dramatically improved after the country’s transition from socialism to a market democracy in the early 1990s.
