Drs. Hans Clevers and his team of researchers at Hubrecht Insitute in the Netherlands started trying to grow mini-organs in a dish in 2017. In this video, we catch up with them to learn about the progress. These organoids as they are called could fill a vital void in the field of neuroendocrine cancer, giving researchers a platform upon which to test new and existing drugs in a preclinical setting.
