After the sudden demise of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in 1964, Pakistan plotted an invasion on India aimed at taking control of the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir, leading to the India-Pakistan war of 1965.In this EPIC special episode Maj Gen GD Bakshi takes us to Asal Uttar, Punjab - battleground of one of the world's fiercest tank battles and the key turning point that turned the tide of war in India's favour . He recounts the incidences leading to the war while analyzing Pakistan's Operation Gibraltar which was designed to infiltrate forces into Jammu and Kashmir and India's military response to counter that which ended after a United Nations mandated cease fire.
