My best friend, Heather lost her father to cancer. At the Celebration of Life Ceremony, after all of the friends gave their fun stories about her father, including a friend who has been friends for 70 years, it was her turn. Heather was masterful and blew me away. When you are crafting your eulogy, have a look. She was so present and took us on a journey with her dad.
I share this with you because I believe that family and friends need to know that he will be remembered, he will continue to bring light and his characteristic live on through his friends and family. She lifted everyone's spirits and showed that the closed to him is going to continue on, even though the loss is tough.
Not only am I proud of her, I want to have that kind of connection and presence when I present my speeches. She is an inspiration to me.
