for years, the knock on the elektron digitakt was that it had no time stretch, and most importantly, no slicing/sample chopping features. that left hip hop producers working on this machine finding all kinds of really laborious workarounds, which now are no longer necessary.

the 1.5 update has revolutionised the elektron digitakt and gave it new blood. so, that should make this video kinda superfluous, right? well, not that fast…

even acknowledging the great work made with the “SLICE” and “WERP” machines, I still have a few gripes with it...
