If the patient is not breathing but has a pulse, the team leader would direct the airway team member to place an appropriate basic airway. Next, rescue breaths would be given with a Bag Valve Mask, set at 15 liters per minute at 1 breath every 5 seconds. You would get a set of vitals, attach an ECG and establish an IV for further treatment. An advanced airway should be considered.
