10 Things You Should Never Say to a Mom



Being a mom is a full time job, no naps- no off days and definitely no lunch “hour”! So when someone from the “well-rested” community decides to point out the bags under the eyes of a new mom, you can imagine that it won’t end well! Pregnancy and then child birth comes with a myriad of emotions and messing with a volatile new mom can leave you with a blue bruise on the eye. Want that to happen? If you shouted a big NO in response then we have a list of things that you should never, we repeat, NEVER say to a mom! Resort to CONGRATULATIONS when in doubt, but keep your trap shut every time there’s an urge to say any of these things!

Number 1. “Sleep when the baby sleeps”
Number 2. “Your baby cries a lot”
Number 3. “It only gets worse as they grow older”
Number 4. “Are you going back to work soon?”
Number 5. “Will you be breastfeeding?”
Number 6. “Do you work?”
Number 7. “When’s the baby due?”
Number 8. “The baby doesn’t look anything like you”
Number 9. “Can you drink that wine while breastfeeding?”
Number 10. “When are you planning the next one?”
