Two 10’ 4x4’ treated, 10” angle bracket from hardware store/lag it with 3.5” GRK awesome lag screws on one side the. Heat with torch and bend to fit the angle cut you made on the 4x4’s at the front, lag on other side, leave enough room at front so you can get chain with hook through it, add 10” timber locks or GRKs crossed at an angle through the bracket at the front of the plow, add crossover boards, runners under the crossover boards add support, cross over boards at the front. The larger/heavier the plow the harder it will be to pull. This has worked for me for me and my uncle for 3 years now.
I didn’t think this would work. It does. It’s great if you don’t have a plow. I have pulled this with our mini van with less than 4” of snow but you gotta be on the throttle. Hope this helps inspire you to build one and stop shoveling.
Weavers Stone House Farm - Aaron Weaver
Update 1-2024.
I backed over part of it and had to add reinforcements to the crossover boards.
While the tools were out, I added extra old treated 2x6 and some rough cut oak 1x4 to it. The extra weight is nice to have. I have a new to me Farmall 504 tractor with chains that I’m pulling it with so far this year. The draw bar is lower than the truck hitch and I go slower with the tractor which has lead to a straighter plowed path down the lane.
Video made in Feb of 2024 with the same plow, more cross boards and a fresh 7” of snow.
Cheap drag snow plow in action on 7” of fresh snow on our farm lane.

It’s Close to a 55° angle cut at the front
I left at least 2 inches of solid square wood on the front So it would be thicker for screws to hold it together.
