So now that you've got started with your aligner treatment what are the do's and don'ts to be followed so that you have a good result? Firstly make sure that you wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours compulsively. Don't wear your aligners on and off because then obviously the teeth will not find sufficient time to move and you will not have optimum results. Secondly ensure you remove your aligners every time you want to eat or drink something. So this will ensure that your aligners are not damaged or stained and at the same time your teeth are also healthy and clean. Thirdly follow the instructions given by your orthodontist. Visit the clinic or the orthodontist as per the instructions to ensure that your treatment is going as per the plan and the treatment doesn't go off track. Fourthly never discontinue your treatment in between or abruptly stop wearing your aligners because if you do so then your teeth will shift in that span and you may end up finding that your aligners don't fit you anymore and that may lead to a restart or the reboot of your treatment all over again leading to waste of time as well as money. Ensure that you're wearing your aligners correctly whether to office or school or irrespective. Clean your aligners thoroughly so every time morning and night daily ensure that you clean your teeth you brush your teeth properly you brush your aligners as well and every time you remove your aligners to eat or drink something rinse your mouth thoroughly and then wear your aligners back and this will ensure optimum hygiene as well. When you're traveling or otherwise also make sure that you're wearing minimum at least 18 to 20 hours you don't skip on wearing the aligners and if in case you happen to lose your aligners then you can inform your orthodontist immediately and you can move on to your next aligner and wear as per the instructions.
