COVID-19 cases escalated in Texas this past month especially in towns near the US-Mexico border.

In the Rio Grande Valley hospitals have been inundated. In one hospital unit that's staffed by travel nurses who fly into crisis zones from across the country, allegations have begun to surface about extremely unsafe working conditions. VICE News got in contact with one of the nurses working at the facility.
