At the base of Mt. Sinai in Saudi Arabia there is a stone structure referred to as the altar of uncut stone or the altar of Aaron, from Exodus 24:4-5. There is a vein of marble running through the mountain, as well as marble in the riverbed that appears to be the source of the rounded white stones laying nearby.
