Speaker in 8 or 16 ohms won't give you the same sound. It's more sensible in crunch mode where the sound is not too much compressed. 8 ohms will give you a more modern and powerfull sound, straight, whereas 16 ohms have a top end more vintage with less bass. Just a matter of taste at the end !
