Use the elevated split squat to improve your quadricep strength | The MSK Physio
The elevated split squat is a fantastic option for those looking to increase the mobility of their lead leg. This also resembles the shape of the bottom of a squat! One of the reasons this option is so useful is by elevating the front foot you shift weight to the back leg.
How is this helpful? Most mobility loss is initially due to weakness of the muscles. By reducing the load on the front leg, the body will permit more mobility. The added bonus is this also greases the groove for the squat pattern on the front leg which will transfer over nicely to your regular squats.
